Sundar Pichai-1-1024x630Buffett declared that he intended to give more than 80 percent of his money to charitable foundations. By 2020 he raised that amount to 99 percent. Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation was the primary beneficiary. It was founded by Bill Gates, Microsoft founder, and his wife Melinda. They focused on education and world health. Bill and Buffett have been friends since the beginning of the 1990s. The three Buffett children and the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation (named after his wife) were among those who received donations. They were focused on women's reproductive rights, funded college scholarships, and had various other charitable organizations. The Giving Pledge was an invitation for wealthy individuals to contribute a large percentage of their assets to charities, created by Buffett and Gates in the year 2010.
